O.S.I. Feeds

The basis for successful fish keeping is right and good quality feeding. Today, there are a huge variety of feed produced well known but even less known producers. Current aquarist, often under the influence of producers advertising and information of domestic and international forums, is disoriented. To choose the right food is very difficult without knowing at least the basics of nutrition and one is liable to believe to the claims of the manufacturer shown on the feed label. The only way to know whether information on feed from manufacturers is true is to buy the food and "test" it on their own fish. This seems like a simple and logical thing at first sight, but few aquarists are willing to invest more money and time to test the feed. It should be noted that the impact of food on health, color and behavior of fish, whether positive or negative, can not be detected during short-term feeding. This process is similar to that in human nutrition. The problem becomes especially that aquarists often turns to feed a different brands, good quality with low-quality and the effect can not be attributed to any of feed.

I also went through a similar path, and so I decided to write my own experience with food that I have the opportunity to feed for a long time. It is the food that also finally appeared on our market in 2006. The U.S. company Ocean Star International, Inc. (OSI) has existed since 1982 and since 1991 is producing feed for fish. In the feed development it cooperates with research institutes and applies the latest biotechnology methods.

Click on the link read » and information about the feed that claims the manufacturer and their complete composition will open. I added my own observations and recommendations at the end of the feed information about the feed that I have the opportunity to feed or have already tested. I remark that this is not advertising the manufacturer or retailer. I want only to provide information about the feed as objective as possible that might help to decide hobbyists, who do think this hobby very seriously, how and what to feed their fish.
